Sarah Ewart, MBA, MSc

Founder, Managing Partner

Sarah Ewart is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Adduna Health Partners, leading its global health practice. She has more than 25 years of experience, most of which has been spent advancing health innovations and impact in the nonprofit, private, and philanthropy sectors.

Sarah has accumulated nearly a decade of strategy consulting experience. For much of this time, she has been a global health consultant and senior advisor to the Gates Foundation, where she is currently advancing strategies in women’s health, infectious diseases, and child survival. Her past consulting clients have included Atomo Diagnostics, the Boston Consulting Group, the Global Health Innovative Technology Fund, Global Health Investment Corporation, Institut Pasteur de Dakar, Medicines for Malaria Venture, Oliver Wyman, PATH, and the Swedish International Development Agency.

Earlier, as staff at the Gates foundation, Sarah implemented a novel strategy and advanced partnerships that raised tens of millions of dollars in new funding for global health research & development and served on the team that successfully structured and marketed the foundation’s first impact investment fund, which became the first fund of the Global Health Investment Corporation.

In previous roles, Sarah was Chief of Staff at Seattle Children's, where she advised the executive team and led the development of its cancer strategy. Sarah has also served as Managing Director of the Global Oncology program at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, supporting its research, training, and clinical care programs in Seattle and Uganda. Earlier, Sarah was a Program Officer for the PATH Malaria Vaccine Initiative, where she managed policy, advocacy, financing, and resource mobilization projects that accelerated progress toward the world's first licensed malaria vaccine. She first became passionate about global health as a Peace Corps volunteer in Senegal and gained insights in early career roles at the World Bank and the US Agency for International Development.

Sarah has extensive experience advancing health - addressing infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases, and the COVID-19 pandemic response - in sub-Saharan Africa. She speaks French, Wolof, and Pulaar and holds a master’s in business administration from the University of Washington and a master’s degree in international development studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
